I have a Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University with a focus on mental health and chemical dependency.
For more than 25 years I have been a licensed therapist practicing in the State Of Michigan.
I opened my private practice in 2001.
My professional journey has allowed me to provide therapeutic services for adults, couples, families,
teens and older adults who struggle with mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, chronic and persistent
mental health diagnosis and addictions.
Your mental health may be challenged due to poor coping, feeling overwhelmed,
feeling stuck, grief and loss etc.
There are times when we are faced with life changes just thrown at us.
We feel unprepared, overwhelmed and at a loss as to how to tackle these issues on our own.
Life events like job stress, medical problems, relationship issues, education and parenting issues and many more
overshadow your day, create anxiety and depression.
You may feel burdened with this feeling of insurmountable pressure. You may be having panic attacks or so depressed you can't get out of bed.
Therapy will be your journey to sort it all out. Learn to identify your issues and allow you to get in touch with your
inner self, find your strengths and weaknesses to create a plan and put it into action.
What I bring to my clients is a compassionate, solution focused approach to treatment.
My goal as a practitioner is your goal. We become a team working on your behalf.
If you are feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, sad, irritable , unable to make change to feel better etc.
I can help you. My approach will gently guide you
as you learn ways to manage your symptoms and achieve your goals.
Keeping in mind therapy is a process. it will require patience, and determination to feel empowered
as you achieve your goals.

She is very patient and has a lot of empathy and understanding. I struggle with depression and often find it difficult to feel like I measure up. She encourages me by telling me I'm too hard on myself. I have found her too be very knowledgeable and compassionate.
Louise is amazing, hands down best counselor I’ve ever had! Really supportive and gives the best advice and can really analyze situations quickly.
Louise, you are my hero! This kind human has pulled me out of a dark time: and continues to support and mentor me so I can keep growing and getting out of the bad habits of my own anxiety.
Louise is very kind and understanding, she is constructive and offers a lot of helpful feedback to fuel growth.
Louise is just the kind of counselor I needed- an excellent listener and a loving, caring person who can offer intelligent advice.
Louise has been very good at helping me with my concerns and problems. She always responded to any of my texts in a timely manner and has helped me with not just my mental health but other life issues that I am dealing with.
I look forward to our conversations and would recommend her to others.
Louise has been fantastic! I am a pretty stubborn person and for a long time I was too proud to seek out help. Finally giving in made me feel a bit vulnerable, but Louise has been wonderful. She listens to me, asks the right questions to make me think and dig deep on my issues, and she offers great advice on how to handle future situations. Overall, I am very satisfied so far and incredibly happy that I sucked up my pride and opened my mind to this. Having someone to talk to outside of your friends is family that will be open and honest with you is a great feeling! Very liberating.
Very very understanding and calming with a strong sense of what she's doing and here to do. Easy to talk to.
Very easy to talk to very knowledgeable
This was quite a refreshing experience! I'm glad I got to talk with Louise, she helped me with a lot of baggage. Thanks again!
2 phone sessions so far. Solid advice for me to implement.
