About me

I have a Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University with a focus on mental health and chemical dependency.
For more than 25 years I have been a licensed therapist practicing in the State Of Michigan.
I opened my private practice in 2001.
My professional journey has allowed me to provide therapeutic services for adults, couples, families,
teens and older adults who struggle with mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, chronic and persistent
mental health diagnosis and addictions.
Your mental health may be challenged due to poor coping, feeling overwhelmed,
feeling stuck, grief and loss etc.
There are times when we are faced with life changes just thrown at us.
We feel unprepared, overwhelmed and at a loss as to how to tackle these issues on our own.
Life events like job stress, medical problems, relationship issues, education and parenting issues and many more
overshadow your day, create anxiety and depression.
You may feel burdened with this feeling of insurmountable pressure. You may be having panic attacks or so depressed you can't get out of bed.
Therapy will be your journey to sort it all out. Learn to identify your issues and allow you to get in touch with your
inner self, find your strengths and weaknesses to create a plan and put it into action.
What I bring to my clients is a compassionate, solution focused approach to treatment.
My goal as a practitioner is your goal. We become a team working on your behalf.
If you are feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, sad, irritable , unable to make change to feel better etc.
I can help you. My approach will gently guide you
as you learn ways to manage your symptoms and achieve your goals.
Keeping in mind therapy is a process. it will require patience, and determination to feel empowered
as you achieve your goals.

Louise has been amazing to work with. When several life changing issues happened at the same time, I sort out help and Louise has been a guiding force to help me see things differently, challenged believes and decisions I had made and gave me appropriate advice and skills to work through complex emotions. I feel so much stronger and mentally well for this experience and Louise was always there to help with questions or uncertainty that I had. I will always appreciate her help during this very dark time in my life.

Louise has been a godsend. She’s very intelligent and perceptive, but also compassionate and practical. She goes above and beyond as a therapist and has been crucial in helping me get through a particularly difficult time. I feel like she genuinely cares, and has taken the time to connect with me personally. I’ve progressed so much in just five weeks of working with her. I feel very fortunate to have found her on this platform and can’t recommend her highly enough.

Louise has really helped me see how much I was diminishing my own value for others and always accommodating others feelings over my own. She's helped me work through old traumas and be a better communicator for what I need. I love that she both listens but also interjects her own opinions on what she thinks is going on. I'm so glad I found her!
