About me

We don't know what we don't know, until we do. It can be one of the most courageous decisions of one's lifetime to enter onto our own personal journey of healing, to face and be rid of the blocks to being the person we want to be - the strong, full, beautiful, useful person we know we are deep down. If you've made it this far you've certainly been through a lot, and I commend you for persisting when sometimes it feels like you can't. You've gotten to a place in life where you want to understand how what you've been through is affecting you today, what's holding you back, and how precisely to move forward in healing and living your life precisely how you see fit. Not your family, not your boss, not your friends, not your partner. YOU decide how you want to live.

I have a Master's in Clinical Social Work from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and specialize in addiction, childhood trauma/C-PTSD, men's issues, panic/anxiety, depression, spiritual/existential crisis, psychedelic integration, harm reduction, religious abuse/deconstruction, and last but certainly not least cultural deconstruction. I am a cis-white male and ferociously strive to be a competent LGBTQ+ ally. Since we are all unique human beings with our own personal story, I'm a firm believer that no one treatment model is a fit for all. Therefore, I use a blended treatment modality constructed of components from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Attachment Theory.

I commend you for taking the step towards finding your truth, embracing your human experience, and moving towards healing and living the life you want for you. Nelson Mandela said, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." As a birthright, you deserve to have access to the peace that already lies deep within you. I believe in you.

Luke really understands cPTSD in a way that helps me to grasp the dynamics of my disorganized thinking to help me understand myself better in all relationships in my life.

Luke has been the one person that I have engaged with that understand my complex issue from first hand experiences. I have only had 2 sessions with him and a number of messages back and forth and he is a real person that cares about me as a person and not another number, so to speak. Highly recommend him and I look forward to continued work with him. Thanks Luke.
