About me

I want to open up my practice to frontline medical workers.. I feel this is a priority for me these days.. I have two doctors in my family who currently working with covid patients. My son is a resident in internal medicine/pediatrics, and my cousin is a family medicine practitioner, specializing in geriatrics.. I am a geriatric myself and know what they are going through, having gone through the trauma of seeing my father, mother and sister and best friend pass away in recent years. Having had two recent clients one a doctor and one a nurse relate to me what they have been going through with "covid fatigue" I want to prioritize you, medical personnel on the frontline working with Covid patients and I also include police, fire and paramedics I am trained in psychological counseling (Ph.D. candidate), Counseling Psychology, as well as educational counseling, having been a guidance counselor and educator for more than 35 years. I had clients from 5 years old to 77 years old.. I approach each client from their perspective, utilizing client centered counseling as well as cognitive behavioral counseling, depending on each client's needs and goals. Client centered counseling involves seeing where the clients through their eyes and how that effects their behavior on a daily basis. I have two adult children and my wife is an elementary teacher of 33 years. We have been married for more than 31 years and I became a father at a later age 43, so I had to assume responsibility as a dad quickly.. I enjoyed helping and watching my kids grow up into the fine young adults they are today, giving back to their communities as first responders...We both coached them in soccer, baseball and basketball. We have always had two dogs or more, so now that the kids are grown and on their own, they have become even more wonderful as companions and family members. I enjoy golf, tennis and swimming. I actively follow current events and the events that shape our country and our lives.. I decided at this point in my life to concentrate my energy in helping people in what I do best, counseling..

Gave me really great advice when I wasn’t in a great place personally. A couple weeks later I felt much better about my situation even though my situation hadn’t changed
