About me

My name is Lyn Rairdon and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's Degree in Social Science from Bryn Mawr College. I have experience working at inpatient and outpatient facilities, as well as in higher education counseling services. I specialize in working with individuals from 18 to 65 years old. I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach combining Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Interpersonal therapies, and Motivational Interviewing. This allows the space to explore current issues, past influences, and future implications. Areas of specialty include, depression, anxiety, relationship/dating issues, family conflict, trauma, bipolar disorder, life transitions, stress, and body image and self esteem issues.
It takes a lot of courage to ask for help. Entering into therapy can be very overwhelming and scary. I hope to make your experience satisfying, while providing a sense of safety and security.

Lyn is extremely thoughtful and a great listener with excellent insights. She is able to deftly parse through loads of information to identify root causes of behaviors as well as offer up practical measures to help her patients navigate their respective rough seas. Simply put, she helps put things into perspective. Coming from someone who has historically had many apprehensions about the merits of psychotherapy, I have found it easy to get into the meat of things quite quickly with Lyn and our sessions have progressed in a consistently positive direction.
