As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe space for exploring and facilitating change through support and empathic listening so my clients can work through life's challenges with the goal of improving their overall mental and emotional wellbeing. I can offer a safe and non-judgmental space for processing the negative aspects of your life and provide the skills, tools, and guidance in order to reach your therapeutic goals. I believe in a collaborative and integrative approach which is tailored to the needs and strengths of the individual(s).
I graduated with my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2013 and went on to become licensed (LMFT) in the state of Indiana. I have experience working with a diverse population in both the private practice and community mental health settings. I have worked within a wide range of therapeutic modalities for those seeking help with various struggles including but not limited to: mood disorders, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, family conflict and parenting, adjustment disorders, stress management and low self-esteem, pregnancy and postpartum, marital conflict, separation and divorce.
It can be difficult to realize that there is a part of you or your life that is negatively impacting you and taking that first step of reaching out for some support. I believe we all deserve to live healthy and balanced lives. I was very unsure about starting therapy and have found it very easy to talk to Madeline. I feel that talking to her each week is a great way for me to get things off my chest and I don't feel the need to tell others my problems unless I want them involved. I feel more at peace with my mind knowing I have a meeting each week.
I look forward to our meeting. I was unsure at first, but have found it helpful to unload what is happening, receive validation and support. I am continuing with therapy as a valuable part of my self care. I would highly recommend.
