My name is Madeline Vanek and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas with experience providing individual, family, and group therapy. Since graduating with my Masters of Social Work in 2012, I have worked with individuals diagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, and personality disorders. Many of my clients struggle with negative and/or debilitating thoughts, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress management, and maintaining healthy relationships.
In my work, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as person-centered and attachment-based modalities. I can help you recognize some of your underlying problem areas, identify and utilize your strengths, and adjust your thoughts and behaviors to see things differently. Every person is unique and I use an individualized approach for each client.

Madeline has really helped and supported me throughout my journey with anxiety and depression and a multitude of other problems. She listens and guides me while letting me figure out solutions and plans that work best for me on my own. She has really helped me change my life in the last 6 months.
I know Madeline would want me to give myself credit for doing the hard work to create positive change in my life, but without Madeline creating an unbiased, safe & non-judgemental space, pointing out my negative thought patterns & teaching how to reframe old thought patterns, and help solve for new behavior patterns that support my goals, I would not have been able to process the trauma I've need to. She's highly skilled, has clear boundaries, and is very knowledgable in her field. Highly recommend.
Madeline is a great counselor who helped walk me through many life transitions and especially through my anxiety. She helped me find the correct tools to handle life events and anxious moments. I learned how to process my emotions in healthier ways and how to employ better coping tools when my anxiety was high. With her help I was able to see a huge change in outlook when challenged by life.
Madeline is incredibly easy to have conversations with and always asks the right questions to help move through issues or to think about things in a different way. She always offers up different perspectives to help navigate difficult issues.
She also has a great memory for specific details from past conversations which helps to make each session feel meaningful. I would highly recommend Madeline for anyone looking for a counselor.
Madeline is a gift. If you ever wanted a practical, non stuffy counselor, she is it. Talking with her during my sessions is like having coffee with a dear friend that doesn’t mind that you’re venting or crying. She truly is wonderful.
She is amazing.
Thank you for listening so far you don’t know how much our few messages have done for me!
I’ve worked with Madeline for a few months now, and she has helped me make so many positive changes in my life. She’s soft and kind and welcoming but also doesn’t shy away from telling me things I need to hear. Things that no one else would say.
She’s very quick with chats and accommodating with scheduling. I couldn’t have asked for a better counselor and experience so far!
I’ve only had 2 video appointee with Madeline and I already feel so much more comfortable and relaxed than in any counseling session I’ve had before. She asked me exactly what it was I wanted to focus on and achieve and has helped me look into smaller things as well. I look forward to all that I learn from her and to grow and move forward with my life!
She makes me feel so accepted and safe with what I tell her. It was only for a short time, but she is really good.
Quick replies with key insights. Am looking forward to doing more with Madeline V.
