I am a licensed and board certified art therapist with 20+ years working with people who have varied backgrounds including refugees, adolescents and adults with complex trauma backgrounds, brides-to-be, extremely religious to practicing Buddhists. I am well-versed working with eating disorders, major life transitions including marriage and new parenthood, as well as depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. The longer I work closely with people to explore and up-level their lives, the more I realize that most of our struggles point back to deeply held beliefs of not being loveable or enough and that one of the most healing things we can learn to do for ourselves is give ourselves grace and compassion.
My counseling style is warm, yet firm; I also love to use humor in my counseling work. That being said, I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, striving to see the light in each human being. I've got an eclectic approach to therapy using my background in transpersonal psychology, creative arts therapies, metaphor, story, meditation and mindfulness along with more mainstream modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
I like to think of therapy as a collaboration, as opposed to me giving advice or “having all the answers”. What I hope is that our work together leads you to feel more centered and grounded, that you have some tools to use when you experience overwhelm, and begin to know from deep inside you that you are capable of creating a life that you want. Bravo for taking the first step towards creating change for yourself!
I look forward to working with you!

Maggie is compassionate and helpful. She does not judge, but provides guidance on how to effectively reflect on your situation. I would recommend Maggie to everyone looking to gain confidence and an improved outlook on your future.
Maggie has been a great help in helping me break out of bad habits I have, reframing to focus on the positive, and helping me help myself to improve my overall mental health.
Maggie was very helpful in dealing with some gender confusion on my part. She is very supportive!
Maggie is fantastic. She gives you a space to explore yourself and supports you with whatever it is you want to get out of therpy.
I've been working with Maggie for a few months now and I'm absolutely loving the experience. The fact that I can be comfortable at home for our sessions has been my favorite part since I live over an hour away from professional services. Maggie has helped me tremendously and I'm so grateful I signed up for BetterHelp!
Maggie has been a joy to work with! Helpful in guiding me to the right conclusions while still letting me get there myself. She’s taught me a lot of tools I can utilize to cope with this crazy world. I especially like the “worksheets” she’s sent me and I still reference them.
I have only been working with Maggie for a few short weeks, so I feel like we haven't been able to get super deep into the nitty-gritty but already Maggie as demonstrated insight, helped ground and provide reminders to breathe and be present, and provided and excellent outlet to discuss all the different things going on in the world and in life.
Maggie brings a calm, empathetic presence, and provides a feeling of support and understanding.
Maggie has been supportive & very kind. Counseling and seeking help has always been a mountain for me but I feel comfortable talking with her. My first session was everything I could have hoped for & more.
I've benefited from counseling from several different counselors through the years. Never have I ever had a counselor comfortably discover, identify, and begin patiently facing the deeply entrenched emotional trauma I've been guarding all my life as quickly and comfortably as I have in my first week with Maggie. She patiently applies true principles to promote wholesome understanding and thus enables and empowers self-guided self-help for continuous self-healing. I highly recommend her counseling to all.
Always listens when I need it and gives me multiple ideas and worksheets that I can do that help a lot!!
