Welcome to BetterHelp! I am Maggie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of California and Hawaii. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Hawaii Manoa and my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling and Social Change from San Diego State University. I have 6 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults in individual, group, and family settings. The past 8 years I have worked in a variety of settings including community-based mental health centers, military installations, and within multiple school districts.
In my practice I strive to operate from a strength based and solution focused framework. I act as a guide and sounding board to help process any life events you may currently be experiencing. My approach is to meet each client where they are and to collaboratively develop a treatment plan based off your individual goals. I have experience in assisting clients with stress management, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem, and coping with life changes. If you find yourself at a cross roads, in need of unbiased feedback, or are looking for new tools to help with stress, anxiety, or communication issues, please reach out and I will be happy to support you.
I look forward to working with you.
