About Me

Mandy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Mexico with over 8 years of experience and over 12 years in the helping profession. Mandy has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Government and a Master’s degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University.

I have helped a wide variety of individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, anger, trauma, PTSD, abuse, addictions, relationship and parenting issues, ADHD, low self-esteem, mood disorders, and career.

My therapeutic style is very personable, interactive and engaged. I have always believed in treating each and every individual with the upmost respect and dignity. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important part in helping clients grow and become successful in their treatment and work hard to build a strong rapport to ensure client success.

I am very eclectic and individualistic in my therapeutic approach and adapt my treatment style to the needs of each client I am working with. I have never believed that one style works for all individuals and so often combine a variety of modalities to supporting each client’s needs. Some of the therapeutic modalities I use are: Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Based Therapy, Family Systems, Narrative, and Client Centered Therapy.

I am also very strengths based which allows me to highlight the client’s strengths and what they already bring into treatment to support each individual in being successful.

I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you may have.

Mandy has been extremely helpful for me. I feel like my life is getting better every day, and it feels really wonderful to have a counselor who listens to me, offers really helpful advice, and truly cares about me.

Mandy was a fantastic counselor! She helped me cope with my anxiety issues and coached me through difficult times with school, work, and family. She was kind, professional, and adjusted to my writing style which I appreciated very much. I would highly recommend her.

I find it difficult to get a therapist that is easy to talk to and share things with. Mandy always makes me feel safe, and I never worry about being judged. I’m very glad that I decided to start therapy with her.

Mandy helped me notice problems I wasn't even aware of having. She helped me though a lot. I hope I can work with Mandy again someday!
