I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia with seven years of counseling experience and a Veteran of the USMC. I graduated with a Master's Degree in Counseling and Human Development with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Therapy from Radford University in 2015. Since then, I have provided several facets of therapy from Outpatient care for adults and children to crisis counseling for adolescents and children. I have worked as a therapist in a Level III Trauma Residential facility for youth and currently work in a juvenile detention center providing clinical treatment to the residents. I have done extensive trauma work and have a Certification in EMDR therapy. Additionally I have experience working with personality disorders and impulsivity. I am finishing up a certification as a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider and look forward to adding that to my toolbox. I enjoy working with most all clients, specifically those who want change in their lives. I pride myself in being non-judgmental and accepting of my clients and empowering them to take back whatever their current issues are depriving them from. I have a vast array of theoretical approaches and like to tailor my approach to the specific and unique needs of each client. I look forward to working with you!

Maranda is amazing and betterhelp is lucky to have her!
Maranda is wonderful. It's not just her vast clinical knowledge, but her ability to get the most out of every minute that we work. Therapy is work, and she has helped me immensely. I would highly recommend her to all.
Maranda is amazing! I am so thankful to be working with her. She is so compassionate and steady. I feel like I'm making progress with her that I have never made before in therapy. So thankful!
Maranda is an extremely present and caring counselor. She listens and supports and if she's unable to provide a long-written response, she still will shoot back a quick thought or question. My favorite aspect about Maranda is that she is endlessly curious – this feeds into her counseling, as she absorbs as much information as she can about the therapy that today's world is needing today. She then excitedly shares her learnings with me. Truly, I'm very very thankful for the work that Maranda does.
She is kind, straight forward honest. Listens well and understands. Very refreshing experience having Mrs. Conner as my counselor. She's helping me breakthrough.
Maranda has been incredible helpful in only a few sessions. I always feel like she listens and couldn’t have asked for a better therapist!
