Marc Ruggiero

(LCSW)

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing for 9 years and licensed in the state of Montana for the past 7 years. I have experience working with preteens, adolescents and adults with a variety of issues and needs. I most regularly work with clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, anger management, ADHD, grief and loss, relational problems whether it is with their spouse/significant other or parent/child issues.

My approach is very client centered and flexible based on what the client wants and needs. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches as needed with the majority of my work grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also a Love and Logic Parenting trainer with 9 years experience helping parents improve their parenting and coparenting skills.

If you've been thinking about making a change or addressing an issue do yourself a favor and act on it. People hope it's just a phase for them and will go away, but hope is not a strategy for creating the life you want to live. Be active in your own life and work towards creating health and balance. I'd be happy to help you through that process!

Written by N.A. on Mar 03, 2019 after counseling with Marc for 2 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, lgbt, relationship issues, family conflicts, parenting issues, self esteem, anger management, and coping with life changes

So far, Marc and I have only had two official counseling sessions, but I already know he’s the perfect counselor match for me. He is compassionate and empathetic. He has already helped me reframe some of the negative aspects of my life and consider things in a new manner. He’s been tremendously supportive and helpful just in the two weeks we’ve talked. I can’t wait to see what else we will unpack.
