About Me

Hello, I am a clinical social worker licensed in New York State. I truly enjoy working with people and I am dedicated to providing therapy and support that empowers my clients to see challenges as opportunities. My goal is to assist my clients in managing a variety of concerns, and transitions through the unexpected and powerful events we go through in life.

I have over 20 years of experience providing individual, group, and family counseling. I have worked within a multitude of settings, helping people manage challenges in homes, schools, healthcare, facilities, and in my private practice. I have a considerable amount of experience with clients with a broad range of concerns including, motivation, life balance, career challenges/transition, ADHD/ADD, learning Issues and advocacy, communication issues, anxiety, anger management, depression, and chronic / terminal health concerns (i.e. cancer ). I have worked extensively with families, parents, teens and young adults, seniors and caregivers. I have considerable experience working with a culturally diverse client base. I am also trained in crisis support, and have worked through a number of national crisis, including terrorism, school violence in NYC, The Bronx, Long Island, and Buffalo, to the pandemic across New York State.

It is important to me to establish a safe, nonjudgmental environment, and show respect to all clients. The methods that guide my practice are a combination of multi-systemic, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, humanistic, rational-emotive, psychodynamic, and motivational interviewing therapies. I include breathing techniques, guided imagery, and strength-based approaches. I am reflective and flexible in my style, to stay responsive to my clients. Each person has their own way of relating, and I create a plan with my clients that fits for them.
