About me

I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Oregon. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I utilize an approach that includes cognitive therapy constructs such a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as a trauma-informed care approach. I utilize concepts from Attachment theories and help clients increase awareness as to how early caregivers played a part in forming perceptions and how this informs how one behaves in current relationships. I also currently hold a CADC-1 which has allowed me to gain more insight into addictive behaviors and to be more effective when working with individuals who have substance abuse issues.

I strive to help clients be fully present in the moment and reduce negative thinking patterns. I promote socialization as I believe it increases meaning and purpose.
