About me

As a licensed clinical counselor in NC and VA, my career of 28 years has been devoted to helping others through talk therapy and goal-setting. People seek and come to counseling with a variety of feelings and reasons for issues they experience. Thus, my treatment approach is individualized for each person, since everyone is unique and has their own “story”.

In order to successfully reach goals and change the thoughts or behaviors affecting feelings, I generally use cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness approaches. Using these builds rapport and keeps the focus on partnering with clients to process and encourage change where it is beneficial.

I can help by listening, clarifying, working together, and giving clients tools to use throughout life. It is my firm belief that anyone can benefit from 'seeing' a mental health provider (the same as physical health)!

You can also find more info and my own tele-therapy counseling website at mesalife.org. Thank you for your time and interest.

She is very intentional. She takes great notes so if feels like we pick right back up where we left off, in between sessions. She’s very clear and has wonderful empathy and makes even the hardest subjects relatable. Very wise and a great asset to my life and success.
