About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor that has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I have extensive experience with treating addiction, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience in couples and family counseling as well as dealing with trauma.

My counseling style is warm and interactive, but I also challenge clients. I believe that everyone can meet their goals and become happier and more successful in life. My therapeutic approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution focused principles. I will develop our treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs and to build on your individual strengths. I look at therapy as a team approach. This can include not only my client and myself, but also family and significant others.

I know that it can be hard to reach out for help and to feel comfortable sharing your story. I am here to help you become more confident in reaching your goals. I look forward to getting to know you!

The best thing about Margaret is that she genuinely cares. For someone like me who is very unsure and apprehensive about people s feelings towards me thats so reassuring. I’ve seen results working with her that I’ve never had with counseling before. I’m lucky to have her as my therapist and would definitely recommend her to others.

Margaret is simply fantastic. She's really easy to talk to and she offers insights and advice and support that really help me feel I'm in more control of the issues I'm facing and working on. She constantly positively reinforces my progress and helps me set and manage personal development goals. In any given session we cover issues of trauma and abuse, as well as practical applications of practicing assertiveness and setting boundaries for healthy relationships. I would highly recommend working with Margaret. Thank you so much for everything, Margaret.
