I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in New Hampshire. My graduate degree was earned while married with two children at age of 39. I began focusing on the senior population in the community. I learned that the client is part of a larger constellation of family members, neighbors, friends religious community, etc. These influences My work soon expanded to include all adults and children . My adult clients tell me that I help them to see their situations from an new angle. Therapy is an opportunity to discover new ways of thinking about one or more situations. I understand how frightening this can be. I continue to learn from my clients in a community mental center. It is important that my clients give me feedback about their therapy experience. Building and practicing effective communication is key in my relationship with clients.

Margaret is a compassionate and engaged therapist who listens closely and understands the dynamics and problems I have brought to her. Her advice is sage and well reasoned and I have found her support invaluable over the months.

I have never been to counseling before. I chose to have sessions with Margaret over the phone as I was ashamed for how a situation was going on in my life. I was so comfortable and never felt any judgment from her. All I have is positive feedback. I have only worked with Margaret but I love the Better Help app and the convenience of making appointments through the app. No hassle therapy.

Margaret has been wonderful for me! She has provided me with so much knowledge and tools to better improve my mental health. The improvement over the last 6 months has been amazing from social connection, to work life balance to internal relationship. At the start, Margaret did a great job distilling very disjointed thought and helped me produce a goal of what to focus my energy on. Now Margaret does a great job being very flexible as I come from left field with a new conflict in my life or a revisit from a past one. I really whole heartily recommend Margaret and I'll keep working with her for the foreseeable future!!

At the end of every session, Margaret always tells me she is glad I took the time out of my busy schedule to show up. She also is great at pointing out the good skills I used and good things I learned in every situation. She is not the kind of councilor that spends too much time on the negative. I always feel better after speaking with her. She is just as appreciative of me as I am of her, and that is something I have never experienced with a therapist or councilor before.

Margaret is fantastic. She's respectful, wise, patient, professional, and a good listener. I especially appreciate that she messages me if she hasn't heard anything in a while. She is exactly the type of life guide I need.

Margaret has worked with me for a few weeks now and I have to say she is very thoughtful and even reaches out after therapy is over. My primary doctor doesn't even do that even after my near death accident.

She seems to really care and is willing to listen even when issues that aren't directly related to the topic is brought up. She tries to understand the situation thoroughly and challenges me with thought provoking questions

Margaret lived up to my expectations of therapy, and then exceeded them beyond belief. I thought I knew exactly what I needed to work on within myself, but it seems as if she cuts a layer further and opens me up to a whole new world of possibility when it comes to self talk, communication, and confidence in myself. The number of skills I use daily is just part of the evidence that Margaret has an incredible ability to change your perspective on any type of issue that may arise. In any scenario I throw her way, I leave the session feeling more whole and in control of my life than I did before we started talking. I can’t imagine what I would do without her guidance.

I have been working with Margaret for a month now and throughout our time together we have had miscommunications on appointments and getting in touch with each other. She has been helpful up to a point I go long periods without speaking to her or checking up on things. When I go to schedule a session her calendar is always empty with no time slots then I will schedule an appointment with her and not here from her or she won’t confirm and scheduled time to meet. It’s very frustrating when you’re working on emotional issues and need consistency with getting through them. Again she has been helpful and she has offered me a lot techniques and worksheets to work on things and that is great but not helpful with no follow up.

When i start to talk, it’s hard to get me to stop and i tend to bounce around with my topics. Margaret has been excellent when it’s come down to following along, piecing together all the points and “stories” I may be touching on and understanding WHY I may be jumping around. And that helps immensely for me. I feel like It’s ok to speak and not have to cut myself off so that my therapist doesn’t get overwhelmed. She’s welcoming to any journal entries I may provide and she told me she enjoys receiving any messages I may feel like sending. As someone with a lot of trauma during a very short span of time, I have a lot to say and i have a lot of questions. It’s reassuring to know she’s there and will respond when she’s available. That’s something I need in my life. That feeling that there IS someone there to listen.

After my first session with Margaret I felt we were on the same page as to what our sessions would look like. I respect the fact that Margaret was able to identify behaviors I have struggled with all my life and help me set a plan of action to correct the destructive behaviors and work through the issues.

Margaret and I have only known each other for a brief period of time but right from the beginning she gave me space and place to feel valued, heard, seen and safe. That has not always been the case with my previous therapists. She offered me some wonderful resources to build off our session and I am looking forward to continuing to work together.
