About me

I'm Maggie (she/her) and I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with 20 years of experience in the field, including 15 years of direct counseling experience. I have worked with a range of clients throughout my career including those that have experienced trauma and abuse, self-esteem and weight-related body image issues, depression, anxiety, dissatisfaction with their career, as well as interpersonal issues. I have also worked in multiple settings including community based care and private practice.

My approach to counseling is supportive and I believe in a genuine client-therapist relationship regardless of the treatment modality. I use primarily solution-focused therapeutic techniques, however I tailor each session to the needs of my client. As such, I draw from cognitive behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, expressive therapies such as art and music therapy. I also use complementary therapies like aromatherapy and meditation in my counseling practice.

My session availability is early weekday mornings Monday-Wednesday evenings. I am willing to accommodate sessions outside those times for urgent situations.

Making changes in your life takes courage; I commend you on reaching out and starting the process. I am committed to encourage and support you in your desire to make those changes and build a more positive future. I am here when you are ready.

I look forward to working with you.

Be well.

Maggie

Simply Amazing. Caring, inspiring, listens, gives great advice and always there for me. She certainly has helped me change my life, if not saved it.

Of all the therapists I've had throughout my life, I'd say Maggie has been the most effective (and it's only been a couple months)! She strikes the perfect balance of holding space for me to fully express myself, and then using a very solutions-based approach in each session. I like how she's able to really hone in on a specific issue within the context of my individual needs, rather than resorting to pre-made CBT worksheets. I'd strongly recommend Maggie to any one of my friends or family members!
