About me

Hello. My name is Dr. Laura Noblejas. My clients call me Dr. Laura.

I grew up and trained in the Washington DC Metro area – Northern Virginia to be exact. Then I went to Muncie, Indiana for my internship, spent three years there working with children and adolescents. From there I worked in several places in the Midwest, finally settling in Liberal, Kansas where I have my private practice. January 2021 marks the ninth anniversary of my clinic. I have over 20 years of experience doing therapy with all age groups, primarily adults.

It was through personal suffering and difficulties that I became interested in psychology. I wanted to help make life’s challenges easier to traverse for others. I have had this deep desire to be a psychologist since I was in seventh grade. Through my training and personal experience I am able to empathize and help those suffering from depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other existential issues that plague our times. I can help those experiencing relationship issues, such as couples or parent to child, for example. I also have experience teaching parenting classes and anger management.

I always tell my clients it takes a lot more courage to enter a counseling endeavor than it does to avoid it. It is not easy to talk to a complete stranger about vulnerable and painful aspects of your life—have these issues seemingly dissected under a microscope. Through my seasoned expertise in this field, I hope to offer validation, encouragement, and hope to those struggling. Let’s walk together on this journey to self- discovery and understanding. I look forward to working with you!
