About Me

My name is Maria Orta, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Counseling. I believe that everyone can benefit from the space that therapy can provide to find emotional stability. I work with clients to explore the root cause of distress, while providing helpful tools to achieve therapeutic goals. I work with people of all ages struggling with an array of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, interpersonal difficulties, grief, and trauma. I use an integrated therapeutic approach that will be tailored to client’s specific needs. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help people heal from trauma related events and other distressing life experiences. I am also trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Maria is experienced with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings to include inpatient services, residential treatment, and outpatient treatment. Maria understands seeking help may not be easy; however, I am committed in providing professional services with a creative therapeutic approach focused on you as an individual.
