About me

Lao Tzu is known to have said, “ He who conquers others is strong; he who conquers himself is mighty.” Life sometimes brings unforeseen, unexpected, and even unwelcome circumstances causing a wide of array of problems. You are seeking counseling at this juncture in your life because something has come your way and it has been mentally exhausting and draining. Allow me, to enter into your perspective, your thought process, your way of life, and into your personal space so that you and I can continue the process of recovery and becoming mighty. You have already started that process by deciding to seek counseling and I applaud you for that! My experience has training and experience has taught me that every situation can be broken down to thought, emotions, behaviors, and the interplay between them. Your decision to seek help was based on a thought. Are you struggling with negative thoughts or self-defeating thoughts? Your decision to seek help involved a behavior. Are you struggling with self-defeating behaviors or with the behavior of others? In order to bring this process to fruition, I will draw from my experiences with CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused therapy.
