About me

Hello! My name is Marissa Barash and I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. I have about 7 years of experience in the field and have worked and interned at several different sites, including college counseling centers such as Carnegie Mellon University and Marywood University, outpatient clinics, Western Psychiatric Hospital as well as Johns Hopkins Hospital. I have seen a wide array of clients (from young children to adults and everything in between), presenting with a variety of concerns and needs, including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, eating disorders, personality disorders, gender identity, ADHD, relational concerns as well as parent management training and family therapy.

My therapy style is warm and supportive. I typically pull from a variety of treatment methodologies including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, supportive/humanistic approaches and psychodynamic therapy.

While it is not always easy to reach out for help, especially as therapy typically involves difficult work and a deeper understanding of ourselves and others, it can also be very rewarding and provide you with the opportunity to learn a lot about yourself. I am eager to support you on your journey and work together!

Looking forward to meeting you!
