I am a mental health counselor licensed in Oklahoma and provisionally licensed in Florida with years of experience working as a counselor and behavioral rehabilitation. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I offer non traditional hours for individuals with demanding school, work, or life schedules.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I am excited to start this journey with you!

We had only one session so far, but the tips she gave me where pragmatic and helpful
This is my first time speaking up and seeking help. I feel like I finally have someone in my cornet who understands and doesn't make excuses for people of the abuse I've endured. I always feel like I can reach out and vent and be understood.
My experience with Marissa has been great so far! She has made me feel heard and validated. I’ve seen a handful of therapists before in person, but Marissa has been the most helpful. I loved the techniques she introduced to deal with my struggles. She is very responsive and caring!
Marissa is a very nice and flexible person. She is easy to talk to and always ready to offer help as much as she can.
I wouldn’t describe myself as someone who is comfortable with the idea of counselling and was a little dubious going in. Marissa has been really great to work with and puts you at ease with a friendly tone to our chats. She’s very easy to talk to and I feel comfortable telling her how I’m feeling and what I’m thinking!
I've been meeting with Marissa Blyth for about 3 weeks and I've found her to be understanding, supportive, knowledgeable, and very, very helpful.
She's caring, easy to talk to, and understands how to speak about difficult issues.
Marissa has been fantastic! She really takes the time to fully understand me, even though I may not understand myself. She makes many suggestions which allows me to choose what would be best for me.
Marissa is awesome
Marissa reaches out and she is responsive. I feel comfortable communicating with her via messaging, voice and otherwise. She allows me to share information and process with understanding and opportunities to dig deeper and reflect without belaboring a point.
I love my sessions with Marissa. She is extremely insightful and helpful. I appreciate and value her suggestions and questions that get me to think about things that I need to.
