I am an LCSW with over 15 years of experience. The majority of my time in the field has been spent working in the school setting and with children and families. I have worked with people diagnosed with disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, OCD, ODD, and mood disorders. I have also worked with many people facing financial crises, adjustment to life change issues, trauma and abuse.
My style of counseling is calm and welcoming, and I believe that establishing rapport is the best way to initiate a working client-therapist relationship. I pride myself on being neutral and non-judgemental and creating a safe space for my clients. I believe my style of counseling combines the elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy with a client-centered approach, as well as mindfulness as needed. Your treatment plan and goals will be uniquely designed to treat the issues you want to work on in therapy.
I commend you for taking that first step towards helping yourself, and I look forward to participating in that journey with you.

Love her :)
Marissa has been such a light in my life since going to her four months ago. She listens, responds thoughtfully, and invokes the kindness and mindfulness I’ve been struggling to find myself for so long. I’ve recommended Better Help to so many friends now, and it’s really because of Marissa more than anything. I’m so grateful to have found her!
I find Marissa to be very friendly and easy to talk to. I really appreciate her goal oriented approach. It feels like we are working towards solving my concerns in a zero pressure way. She is super supportive and non-judgemental
