About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience working with adults and families. My background in social work is varied, including experience working in behavioral health, foster care, and hospice. As a social worker, I approach my work with clients from a systems perspective, meaning I think it is important to explore the context in which you are experiencing life. While diagnoses can be helpful in understanding symptoms, I believe that the focus of therapy should be about achieving your goals and improving the quality of your life. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, I will help you reflect and explore what is causing strife in your life.

This past year I hit the lowest point of my life. Reaching out for help, especially at a price, was extremely hard. I’m very grateful for everything Marissa has helped me with. She’s patient and understanding and does her best to challenge without pushing too hard. She’s very sweet and I appreciate her a lot. She would be a great fit for anyone who needs help sorting out how they think.
