Hello! My name is Marissa White and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I work with individuals who have a wide range of concerns including trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, family relations issues, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. I combine different therapeutic approaches based on client's presenting concerns, goals, and motivation, such as, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), brief therapy, mindfulness, client-centered, solution-focused therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
Life's challenges can be overwhelming. My goal is to provide a safe environment for my clients to speak openly about life and stressors. As my client, we will begin services where you are, and together, I will help you explore, develop, and create sense of balance as you learn, grow, and make positive changes that can result in a more fulfilling life.
I look forward to working with you.

Marissa has been very patient with me. I always feel like she is actively listening and holding a safe space for me to land when I feel like the world around me is crumbling. She was able to help me dig deep and see below the surface of my trauma, triggers, and anxiety and helped me gain a better understanding and awareness of my emotions. No matter the day or what I was going through I always felt seen and heard by Marissa.
She is very understanding
I really enjoy Marissa’s energy and her enthusiasm for her work. She has such an empathetic and understanding mind and I look forward to our therapy sessions.
Marissa is experienced, kind, and allows me to really process whatever is going on in my life in a healthy way. She makes me feel comfortable and I look forward to our sessions because I always feel refreshed after.
Every time I cannot wait to talk with Marissa. After the therapy I always feel good. She helps me not to be anxious about everything. She supports and asks the right questions, which I've never thought about. She helps to control my thoughts and to stay positive. She's nice, kind and she likes to joke, I like that. I really appreciate Marissa's work.
Marissa is very kind and understanding. Her help has been inspiring.
I love working with Marissa! She’s compassionate, open minded, and knowledgeable. She knows when to listen and when to speak and provides the right amount of structure for me to get the greatest benefit from therapy.
Marissa is great - she really listens to me, she draws out good conclusions, and she helps me understand what it is that I'm saying or thinking well before I really get it myself. She is kind and compassionate and funny, and she is really helping me find a place in my life and some understanding of where I'm at emotionally.
I've met with several therapists in my life, and feel that Marissa is the first to actually help me deal with the trauma I've experienced. Her insights and tools to identify the stressors in my daily life have given me a new insight into my experience. I honestly don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been connected to her.
Marissa is an excellent therapist I've really enjoyed working with her thus far.
Marissa has helped me through the childhood traumas that had become habits and were stopping me from moving forward in life. She helped me change my beliefs and let go of my self-sabotaging mantras. She is very empathetic, professional and an expert in her domain. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has been through tough times and doesn't know how to process them to move forward with peace.
