About Me

I am a Apostolic Christian LPC that uses a solution based approach to helping my clients. My counseling experience is in corrections where I used Cognitive Behavior and REBT based theories for counseling and psycho educational programs. I worked with clients in post corrections that had court mandates for anger management, addictions, or relationship counseling. The use of atypical therapies such as Equine Assisted Therapy (communication or relationship)and Martial Arts Therapy (moral restoration) helped facilitate counseling .These same programs were used at a 90 bed addiction recovery facility where I acted as clinical director and lead counselor.
I have an understanding of the need for counseling for a client recovering from a medical condition as a liver transplant recipient in 1997.
I act as mental health, peer support, or chaplain for Southern Law Enforcement critical incident stress debriefing, an agency that helps law enforcement with traumatic events.
I hope to use these life and counseling experiences to help my clients by using platforms and avenues provided by BetterHelp.

I think Mark is a excellent counselor although we’ve only had a few sessions. It’s mostly been me talking and him listening but that’s been helpful to get stuff off my chest. Not being able to meet in person unfortunately is an easy out for me too lose contact and initiative to move forward. Not his fault but anxiety and depression stopped me from doing a lot if it wasn’t for my close family coming to check on me sometimes I Don’t know what I would do

A great man. Understands me and although it has only been 6 sessions so far, he has helped me tremendously. I’m grateful and thankful for his help.

Mark is extremely observant and provides the professional, third-party clear perspective needed to see the forest for the trees. He helped me tackle and dislodge my long-held anxiety by providing the straight talk and empathy I needed to help myself. I highly recommend Mark for his straightforward advice and supportive, affable manner.

He has been extremely helpful in my overall path to being a better person. He makes me feel heard and most importantly, has the best feedback that pertains to whatever I am dealing with. I look forward to our future sessions and know that I will continue on a good path while being guided by him.
