Marlene Blanco, LMFT
About me
Hello my name is Marlene Blanco, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I have been providing therapy for 5 years. I attended Cal Poly Pomona and received my B.A in Psychology and acquired my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University.
My experience began working as a crisis counselor at a Suicide Prevention Center . I did my internship at the Gay and Lesbian Center in LA providing therapy for the LGBTQ community. In addition, I worked at The Trevor Project providing crisis counseling for LGBTQ teens. I also have experience working with the Hispanic community. I am trained and specialized in working with Trauma, Mood Disorders ( Anxiety, Depression), Relationship issues, and Domestic Violence.
My approach to therapy is providing unconditional emotional support, guidance, and working together as a team in order to help you reach your goals. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Center Therapy, and Existential modality.
It can be difficult to reach out for help at times, therapy is the first step in making the changes you want in your life. Looking forward to working with you!
Outside of being a therapist I enjoy hiking, traveling, music, reading and taking care of my rescued animals.

Excellent guidance from Marlene and would highly recommend her. She has given me the power to do things that I always struggled with.
