About me

Salutations….
I am Marsha Dillard, a Licensed Professional Counselor approved by the National Board for Certified Counselor and the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. I have worked in healthcare, assisting doctors and teaching students totaling 20 years (adding counseling experience, 25 years). I have a genuine devotion of caring for people and seeing people enjoy life. For the past 5 years I have been working in community with folks who have suffered economically, socially, physically, spiritually and mentally. I have seen how mental health problems squeezes the joy and peace from the life of individuals and their families; replacing it with symptoms. It is not just “you” but your loved ones too. Think about that…..

I have focused my therapeutic efforts to assist teens and adults (male and female alike) with life challenges, spiritual enlightenment and emotional/behavioral disturbances. I have counselled individuals with diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, addiction, and more, assisting with relationship issues, familial concerns, and substance use/abuse issues. I have embodied the skills of being empathetic, supportive, non-judgmental, goal oriented and culturally diverse when conducting therapeutic services.

I have a passion for people, being a witness to the “light bulb” moment, that is, when a client decides to practice positive changes to redirect their lives. It is important to community to have helping professionals providing helping-hands when others are low or in need of someone. Having this desire to help fuels my ambition to be acquainted with the ‘best practices’ in the profession. By way of an eclectic method of psychotherapy and professional collaborations, I aspire to strengthen my professional dexterity to proceed in cultivating support to clients as they work towards a healthier self. Life appears brighter when the body, mind and spirit are in balance.

I utilize a person/client centered approach, simply, it all about your positive change. Let’s focus on you as you balance your body, mind and spirit to resiliency!

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [that is, separate you from profane and vulgar things, make you pure and whole and undamaged—consecrated to Him—set apart for His purpose]; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept complete and [be found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. “

Marsha Dillard did an exceptional job with helping me find the root of my issues. I'm grateful to have had someone that could communicate the steps needed to take in order to get through my hardships. It was truly a great experience and I can say that she truly does try to create a life long relationship with her patients.
Thank you Marsha!

I really enjoyed speaking with Marsha. She had some good advice and some helpful worksheets to complete at the end of our session.

I am really grateful for Marsha's help. I feel like she really listens to me and respects who I am, regardless of what I've done or experienced. In addition to validating my experiences and pain, she is helping me to see things that need to change and encouraging me with actions that will help me on that path. She has listened to me and helped me though a difficult patch of life. I have always been afraid to reach out for help and doubted it would work. I have heard that it takes a few counselors to find the right one. But from the very beginning she was a great match for me. And she has listened, picked up on clues I’ve dropped along the way and told me how to improve what I have going on in my life. She has been an absolute blessing and I have told my close circle of friends all about her and shared the link to use BetterHelp.com to anyone that mentioned they have thought about therapy.
