About Me

Hello! My name is Martha and I am an LPC licensed in the state of Texas. I have a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Texas Wesleyan University(2007). My experience in the mental health field is over 17 years consisting of case management, crisis intervention, counseling, psychiatric emergency room assessments and diagnosis. I would describe my counseling style as one of being caring, compassionate, trustworthy, genuine and ethical. My favorite therapeutic approaches are Person-centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and feel that they lend themselves well to helping with most issues. I believe that it's very important to allow you to learn and identify the skills you need to work on the issues you are experiencing throughout therapy sessions and long after therapy sessions end. My hope for you is that you will feel comfortable discussing any topics of concern and that you are able to gain the knowledge you need to help you through this time in your life.

I look forward to working with you and thank you for putting your trust in me!

I only had Martha for a short amount of time, but the time I did have was good. She’s very thoughtful and made me feel good about myself. I definitely recommend Martha to bring out the confidence you didn’t think you had.

I am new to therapy but she doesn't make me feel pressured to say or do anything. I can message her whenever and she's always there for me. I always look forward to our sessions even if I don't have much to say. She makes me laugh and gives great advice. I look forward to many more sessions and being able to learn how to better deal with my anxiety.

I look forward to every session with Martha, and feel grateful to always have the option to reach out to her at any time. She is responsive, and always willing to work with any scheduling needs. She is kind, intuitive, empathetic, and caring. She has helped me build up self-esteem and confidence. She makes me laugh, and consoles me when I cry. Martha makes me feel seen and gives me tools to use when I don’t feel seen outside of our sessions. I feel so grateful for her and the BetterHelp platform.
