About me
As a therapist I believe each person has unique gifts and abilities. My goal is to empower individuals and families to use these qualities, gifts and abilities, and create accessible, impactful change. And achieve their aspiration in a safe, non-judgmental space, where each person feels heard and respected.
I help individuals and families explore self-defeating thoughts, negative perceptions and lead them to gain new insights.
I feel honored to provide therapy to individuals and families to work through life's challenges to grow personally, relationally or spiritually.
I draw my therapeutic modalities from person-centered, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused therapy among others.
I am Certified to work with Military population, domestic violence, survivors, people who are multicultural, and faith based population.
I speak, read and write Swahili.
My inspiration is from Isaiah 41;13 " Do not fear; I will help you"
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor ( LCMHC), Masters of Art from Southeastern, B.T. Seminary in Wake Forest. Certified Clinical Military Counselor (CCMC).
Treatment areas include; Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Postpartum-depression, major life changes - grief or divorce, Parent/child relationships among and adjustment disorders.
