About Me

Hello! I’m very happy that you reached out. It takes courage to acknowledge pain, ask for help, and hope for change. My name is Mary Cahilly and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (in the states of Arizona, Colorado and Pennsylvania) with over 20 years experience. After earning a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, I pursued additional training in mindfulness, trauma treatment, chemical and process addictions, emotionally focused therapy, internal family systems, psychodrama and pastoral counseling.

My approach is compassionate, integrative and empowering. Over the years I have been honored to help clients find their way through personal challenges with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, substance abuse, relationships, parenting, career, spiritual crises, and trauma. I believe that every human being is inherently valuable and worthy and has the ability to create positive change in their life.

Therapy is about moving beyond suffering and just surviving to really thriving and enjoying your life. So, I’m here to help you envision what you want for your life and address areas where you feel stuck. You might think of me as a guide to help you reconnect with your own inner wisdom. See, although I have tons of training, I am not the expert in your life – you are, even if you are not fully aware of that yet. So, as we work together, I’ll invite you to try various exercises that are designed to help you feel better as you begin to more clearly understand yourself and reclaim, even celebrate, your life.

I look forward to working with you!

Mary is extremely insightful and attentive. Her attention to detail is very appreciated. When I speak, I genuinely feel heard. Mary transcends the screen and I find this platform to be as helpful as in person therapy but with increased access.
