Mary Salem Gregory is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides client-centered therapy to teens, adults, couples, and families. Mary Salem has experience treating a range of issues including trauma, mood experiences, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and LGBTQ experiences.
Mary Salem is a native North Carolinian born and raised in Charlotte, but living in New York City since 2011. After earning a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Mary Salem pursued her Masters of Social Work from Columbia University. Immediately following her masters degree Mary Salem pursued her licensure and is now licensed in Clinical Social Work.
During Mary Salem's career as a Social Worker she has dedicated herself to on-going study and has specialty training in a wide-range of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, motivational enhancement, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. Mary Salem gravitates towards strength-based approaches with all of her clients and believes in the strength and resiliency of the individuals she works with.
Mary Salem most recently works for Wediko Children's Services as a Clinical Program Manager. She has also worked for Children's Aid Society and was a Bilingual Case Planner in Upper Manhattan providing individual and family therapy for at-risk families. Mary Salem is passionate about providing the most effective and compassionate therapy possible for the clients that she services and greatly enjoys the honor of hearing people’s stories and walking along their path towards health and happiness.
