About me

Hello!

My name is Mary. I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with four+ years of clinical experience. I am also a yoga-instructor, avid reader, and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. I have experience working with clients of all ages from a wide range of backgrounds, faith experiences, cultures, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic status. My past clients have noted that they have particularly appreciated my calming, warm, and compassionate approach to therapy. I have a laid-back approach to therapy and am skilled at creating a warm, safe environment for you to explore, express, process, and learn from your concerns and feelings and current life circumstances.

I have worked with clients experiencing a wide-range of issues, including depression, anxiety, OCD, LGBTQIA+ issues, intimacy concerns, couples concerns, parenting issues, healing from trauma, religious trauma, women's issues, and much more. I am flexible, compassionate, open-minded, and eager to hear your story! I prefer to hold hour-long sessions with my clients once per week, preferably at the same time each week. I find that this consistency is key, especially while utilizing tele-therapy and at the beginning of our work together.

In my practice, I utilize elements of CBT, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Lifespan Integration, and other modalities. I'm also open to integrating your enneagram number into your therapeutic process, if so desired. I enjoy working with clients who feel motivated and ready to embrace healing & growth. I view my role as a therapist as one of providing support, guidance, reflection, trust, and safety for you during this phase of your journey.

If you think we may be a good fit, I look forward to hearing from you! It takes so much courage & strength to reach out and ask for help- and I'm so excited to join you on your journey of healing!

Mary has been very helpful with my struggles lately both in marriage and personal issues. She is a good listener, and seems to have good ideas to deal with the problems as they arise. I actually wish she would talk even more, though I realize I take up space talking. I feel very good about our sessions so far and I have learned a lot. I highly recommend her if you have issues you are dealing with plus during covid she has been a big help.

Mary has been such a blessing. She is very caring, kind, and has a very gentle approach. She is very easy to trust and confide in - and this is coming from someone who has a wall for many people.
