About me

I am a clinical social worker with 4 years experience working as a psychotherapist in a private practice setting. I have worked with clients with a number of different concerns such as depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship problems, parenting challenges, ADHD, and OCD. I have also worked with individuals who have experienced emotional and sexual abuse and individuals with PTSD.

I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship with each individual client. I recognize that every individual is different with different needs and goals and do my best to work collaboratively to develop a plan. My approach to treatment may include aspects of Cognitive-Behavior, humanistic, psychodynamic and Acceptance/Commitment counseling. In addition, I believe that the state of your physical and emotional wellness are interconnected. Some time will be spent each session focusing on self-care and healthy habits. The tools we use will depend on your needs and preference.

Sometimes taking the first step to seek therapy is the hardest. It takes a great deal of strength and courage to begin the process of exploring oneself. If you are ready to start on this journey, I am here to support you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Mary LeRouge. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Mary is the best thing to happen to me since the beginning of this pandemic. She understands, she remembers important people and events I’ve talked about, and it doesn’t feel like I’m talking to A Therapist- someone I should be intimidated by. It feels like a good conversation, always. I cant thank her or tell her up enough.
