About me

Hello, I'm Mary Tauscher, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia. I earned both my Bachelors and Masters of Social Work at the University of Georgia. I have worked in community behavioral health for 7 years, providing therapy and mental health services to children and adults. I have worked with clients with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia. In addition, I have worked with those seeking assistance in self-esteem, relationships, life transition changes, parenting and marriage, and grief and loss, among others.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychoanalytical Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. I believe in establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients to work together to achieve established goals in a safe and trusting environment.
It takes courage to ask for help and seeking support in therapy is the first step in making a positive change. I look forward to working with you!

Mary has been very helpful doing this difficult time of healing. The counseling sessions are only 30 minutes long but you get a lot covered in that short amount of time. I like to take an extra 30 minutes to reflect on what we talked about and try the coping exercises that she recommended. This helps to really release and heal from anything you may have discussed and to really think about the session. She's also a great listener and I would recommend anyone to her.
