Matt Anderson, LCSW
About me
I am a clinical social worker, living in Vicksburg, MS. I have been working in the mental health field since 2010, as a therapist. My career has given me the opportunity learn how to treatment trauma related stress symptoms for those who have experience traumatic or life-adjustment related stressors in their lives. I have been trained in Prolonged Exposure therapy, Cognitive Processing therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy; all empirically based treatment options for those suffering from trauma related symptoms. I love working on tough stuff with clients, as I enjoy seeing the amount of transformation possible for patients in a short period of time gain the support they need to recover from what ever trauma they may have experienced from participating in treatment.

Matt actually listens to me and tries to help me find ways that work best for me to work through my problems. He isn't pushy, but he doesn't just let me get away with not working to better myself. He is great.

I've had a couple therapists over the years and Matt is by far one of the best. Its only been a couple weeks but some of the coping methods we've discussed have really helped me when I feel particularly low. Despite the different timezones it really does feel like he's only a text away so if I'm struggling with something I never feel completely alone. Would absolutely recommend Matt to anyone
