About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor and licensed addiction counselor in Colorado with experience working as a crisis counselor, addiction counselor, individual, and group psychotherapist. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Arizona State University and my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver. I have worked with a wide range of diverse clients including individuals struggling with addiction, PTSD, complex trauma, grief & loss, stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I also have ample experience working with individuals struggling with various substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, ADHD, neurological, depressive and anxiety disorders.

I approach counseling by prioritizing building trust and establishing rapport with a gentle and interactive style. I believe that it is vital to create a safe space with empathy, listening, compassion, sensitivity and awareness of each client’s unique journey. My therapeutic style is rooted in a person-centered approach, combining mindfulness, existential, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused interventions. My primary goal is to meet each client where they are at in life and develop a collaborative treatment plan, ensuring that each client has a voice in their treatment. I place high importance in recognizing and understanding different cultures and styles of communication. I will work diligently to respect all cultures without judgment and empower each client’s unique ability to be who they are.

Bravery, having an open mind and a willingness to learn and grow are qualities that describe those who seek to better themselves through counseling. Asking for help is one of the most difficult decisions in life, and I commend you for taking that step.

I look forward to working with you and supporting your life changing goals!
