I am a licensed professional counselor, with over 5 years of experience in the treatment of complex-trauma, addictions and substance use disorders, stress, mood, and anxiety-related conditions. I am very interested in providing treatments for each individual person, family, and situation.
Since everyone is unique in their experiences, struggles, and transformative changes, I understand that everyone deserves to be treated with fairness and dignity. I am dedicated to the skillful delivery of therapeutic solutions that are personalized, positive, empathetic, and insightful. I have come to understand that genuine service to other people involves being exceptional in learning about how each individual processes the world, and how they live in alignment with their values.
Since the environment we live in today is so complex, I also stay current on biological issues that effect our behaviors. At this time I am in a graduate program studying public health and genomics. In addition, I hold two graduate degrees, one in professional counseling, and one in addiction counseling, along with professional certifications in clinical trauma counseling, addiction counseling, and the treatment of attentional issues and ADHD.
Most problems are multi-dimensional, therefore the solutions to bring you back to wellness must also be multi-dimensional. I look forward to getting to meet you and walking with you on your path of healing!

Extremely empathetic man. He is the smartest Therapist I met. He really knows what he is talking about and forms our session often into a coaching. Strongly recommended!
I am extremely pleased to have Matt as my counselour. It’s been a really fruitful experience and I was put at ease by his ways, expertise/method, rigour and communication style. I was quite lucky to have been paired up this way on the first try and always look forward to our sessions. He’s been very generous with his time as well which I’m grateful for.
Working with Matthew has been brilliant and really helped me work through both immediate and long term.
He is extremely knowledgable , easy to talk to and understanding making this counselling process an enjoyable experience.
I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to work through any issues or generally trying to get better control on their life!
Matthew is a great councillor! He has a calming presence and explains things in ways that are easy to comprehend and remember. 10/10
Matthew not only engages me during our session in an exemplary manner, he also provides excellent tools to utilize during the week.
I love his science based approach to treatment. If I treat the brain as a machine I can fix it like a machine.
I've only had one meeting with Matthew but I feel like its been helpful and started me in the right direction. I'm looking forward to continuing this process.
Matthew keeps things friendly and relaxed, and you can talk as if you were talking to a friend without any sort of trouble. As you are doing so, you may say something important without thinking about it, and he will quickly pick up the concept and explain one of the basis of your current tribulations directly linked to what you just said. It's almost magical and I've had my fair share of "woah, you're right" moments.
