ABOUT ME
Hello and Welcome!!
My name is Mattie Skye Nogaye. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile in order to find the right therapist fit for you. I am excited about the possibility of becoming your therapeutic partner for wellness. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California and I also have a Master’s degree in Organizational Development. My professional training started in 1977. I have over 40years of Social Work experience both as a Clinician and Administrator of Social Work services.

My years of service are expansive across municipalities, Private Non-profit / Private for profit, community based, and acute care hospital and clinic-based organizations. My client/patient/participant populations have primarily been the Unserved, underserved, uninsured, underinsured, low income, poverty stricken, working poor people. My work has crossed mental health and health care with the developmental age spectrum of pre-birth to centurions.

I have had the opportunity to provide services that cover areas of concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, lifestyle changes/adjustment, relationship issues, stress related issues, parenting problems, career challenges/career adjustments, Obsessive-compulsive Disorders, PTSD, crisis resolution, and end-of-life care. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma due to physical/sexual/emotional abuse and/or adjustment issues.
My counseling approach is very collaborative, strength based, warm, open, and interactive. I believe in appropriately treating everyone with respect, regard, sensitivity, and complete compassion. My approach adheres to cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I will customize our personal dialogue and treatment and my goal is to meet your unique and specific needs. I do promote self-determination and believe that together we can make effective and long-lasting change in an effort to increase everyday coping skills for an optimum outcome.

I am excited and look forward to working with you.
