About me

Hello! My name is Meagan and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with over 11 years of experience and a doctoral graduate from Argosy University (EdD in Counseling Psychology). I have worked with clients whose concerns include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, and bipolar disorder. I have helped many clients who have experienced physical trauma and/or emotional abuse as well, and clients who are in the military. My clients have included children, adolescents, and adults who come from diverse backgrounds and have provided these services during individual sessions, couple sessions, family sessions, and group sessions.

My counseling style focuses on clients identifying their problems and working with them to develop appropriate coping skills to be address how they act and react to situations. Respect and compassion are keystones in my practice, because I believe these qualities significantly impact how people act and react. My theoretical orientation does not rely on just one basis, but pulls from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, so that the client is not forced into a therapy that he or she might not truly benefit from.

I do understand change can be hard and uncomfortable and the courage to ask for help or assistance should be commended. When you are ready, I am here to assist you with any concerns.
