About me
“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
My name is Megan Cerney and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing for the past four years in TX and Ohio.
It may seem impossible to let go of your inner demons and overcome the trauma you have been through, but the first step is opening up and releasing these fears. I am here to provide you with a safe place and a listening ear while we work together to move forward and solve the problems you may be facing. As a woman, veteran, military spouse, working mother, and friend, I am here to help you.
I specialize in trauma (PTSD), career counseling, relationships, and grief using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have worked with men, women, veterans, active duty, families, and geriatric clients.
We all need support, and I am here for you. My style is that we both work together down the road of healing. Now is a great time to start your journey.

One of the best therapists I’ve ever had. I really feel heard and understood. She gives me homework so I’m building my toolbox to cope with what life throws at me.

Megan is wonderful. She doesn’t believe in the black & white way if thinking in therapy. She believes in the grey areas. The places that a lot of therapist will not actually address or question. She individualizes the form of therapy she uses based on your needs. Or atleast, this had been my experience. She is unlike any therapist I have had in the past, and that is such a good thing!! I came to her when I was in dire straights and had no direction in life, she has helped me clear through the clutter in a short period of time. She has much experience in the areas in life, that I personally struggle with. (depression, PTSD.) and I am so glad to have found her on here.

She sets the standard for what a therapist/clinician should be. The comfort and confidence I feel with her and her process is priceless.
