Megan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio with nine years of experience in the social work field and over 16 years in the helping profession. She has a bachelor's degree in social work from Capital University and a master's degree in social work from The Ohio State University.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including post-traumatic stress disorder, abuse, family conflicts, parenting issues, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I also have worked with many survivors of domestic sex trafficking and other traumas.
My counseling style is very down to earth, personable and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity. I think counseling is most successful when the client is engaged and has a good relationship with the therapist, and I work hard to build a strong rapport with my clients.
I am very individualistic and adapt my treatment style to the needs of each person I am working with. I do not believe in a one - size - fits all kind of therapy. My approach combines several different treatment modalities. Some of the therapeutic modalities I use are trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and family systems-based approach. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I am also very strengths-based, which means I believe in using your strengths to make the most of the counseling experience. Your goals for therapy will be important to our work together.
I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you may have.

I’ve really enjoyed having Megan as my counselor. She really loves her job, and you can tell.
I had been having some issues with dealing with being adopted. Who would have thought at nearly 50 years old it would have played such a big part in my life. Megan has helped me work through those issues & figure out the root of many of the feelings that I had that come along with my situation. She's easy to talk to, she asks the right question and has this uncanny ability to help me come to the right conclusion for ME. Highly recommend for anyone with family related, adoption (or not) issues.
Megan has been quite good in helping me understand my sister and the problems we have had over the years. We are working on solving those problems.
Megan is a fantastic counselor and very responsive.
