About Me

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Illinois and currently specialize in anxiety, depression and couples counseling. I graduated with my Master's in social work in 2018. I use person in environment approach as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. I treat a range of individuals including couples and individuals who have suffered loss or are experiencing grief. I have worked with many clients who have been on hospice and approaching end of life situations. My therapy approach is warm and personal. I do not believe in stigmatizing anyone with mental health issues and believe that mental health needs to be more openly talked about and accepted. My client's have described me as relatable and non judgmental. I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to feel emotions and process trauma and thoughts. I believe in empowering clients to take control of their mental health disorders and help them reach their full potential in living happy balanced lives.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Megan Grove. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Written by S.E. on Aug 26, 2021 after therapy with Megan for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, lgbt, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, career difficulties, coping with life changes, and adhd

From our first session, it was obvious how much Megan cares about your mental health journey and making sure it accommodates your needs. She asked the right questions to get a better understanding of my mental health state and reviewed her care plan with me. I felt like I had a strong decision on how I wanted to proceed forward with therapy and I truly appreciated that! I’m thrilled I found Megan as my counselor and I’m excited to see my growth. ☺️
