About Me

People today have an overwhelming burden trying to balance family, work, finances, and not to mention the unexpected stressful events that life throws their way. As I a licensed counselor, my goal is to help my clients learn more positive strategies to cope with these challenges. My work with clients often consists in helping them identify existing, often unrecognized, strengths within each client, while cultivating self-compassion. Even more, I hope to help my clients rediscover peace and joy and learn strategies to maintain this.

My specialty areas include Depression, Anxiety, relationship issues and the correlation between chronic medical illness and mental health symptoms. With a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling, I have also completed doctoral coursework in Health Psychology, with an emphasis on chronic illness and stress management.

Megan provides life changing therapy, and I couldn’t be more thankful. She introduced me to ACT, which has worked wonders for me when CBT methods haven’t worked for me. I feel like I’m finally able to think. Before I was so self critical, and now I’m learning self compassion & growth. I love her!

Megan brings a wealth of knowledge to the therapeutic table. She is incredibly insightful about factors related to trauma, anxiety, triggers, and more. She is very good at validating emotional pain related to past experiences. She follows my lead so we talk about the most significant stressors on my mind at the moment. She is always willing to go in depth about specific terms and concepts she uses so I can learn more. Megan is a wonderful therapist and I would highly recommend her!

Megan is a wonderful counselor. She is kind and understanding but she also makes me laugh. I've learned to quickly identify negative thought patterns and deflect them, how to set better boundaries, and have more confidence in myself.

I have just started using betterhelp and after going thru several profiles, I chose Megan. So far, Megan has been quick to respond to my messages and journal. I haven't video chatted with her yet, but I feel confident for when I do.

Megan apropos has helped me tremendously throughout some of the most difficult times in my life. She is always fast to respond when I message her between scheduled sessions and I feel like I am more than just a number to her. Megan has been the exact right therapist I need at this time. She is understanding, supportive, and asks the questions that I don't ask myself so that I can fully see my patterns and/or give myself a break. My issues have been all over the place and it never seems to throw her when I'm railing on about something one second and being self-deprecating the next. I feel extremely comfortable with her, which means that I have no issues reaching out to her nor do I hold anything back, no matter how horrible it sounds to me. I have actually already told several of my friends and family members that they should download this app because it's amazing it's really expensive because we can't get help from our insurance company but I love how convenient it is having a therapist through my cell phone.

Megan has been wonderful to work with. She was able to make me feel at ease right away. Since we started, she has really helped take me down a few notches from the extreme state of crisis I was in when I first came to BetterHelp.
