About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 11 years of psychotherapy experience, largely in the healthcare setting. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family stress, communication barriers, grief and loss, caregiver stress/burnout, postpartum depression and problems related to change/adjustment. My experiences also include work with hospice patients and their families, helping them to managing death and dying issues.

My counseling style is warm and interactive, with a strong emphasis on support, education and encouragement. I focus on each client's specific needs and I adjust my therapeutic approach accordingly. I tend to draw from solution-focused, strengths-based and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help clients meet their therapeutic goals.

I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from University of Hawaii at Manoa, with an emphasis on Mental Health. I obtained additional training to supervise others in my field who are working to become licensed in the field of Social Work. I have also served as an instructor for the Social Sciences department at Drury University, and as a researcher with Johns Hopkins University.

Therapy is an inviting and safe place to share, heal and grow. I applaud you for taking the first step towards seeking help, and I am here to support you on that journey.

Meghan is awesome! She is so thoughtful and really makes me feel comfortable because she is so relational. I’ve had a ton of therapists, and Meghan is by far the best.
