I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience in the field. I have a sustained passion for working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, coping with life changes, and work and relationship issues. I have a strong background in family work and would be delighted to partner with you in addressing family stressors you may be experiencing. Together, I believe we can create an experience for you that is rich with nuance, has complete regard to your personal loves and unique history, and is something you can plan to look forward to each week.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the primary modality I utilize. If you are someone who benefits from some structure, I believe that we will work very well together. I am committed to making this a meaningful experience for you and will encourage you to truly invest in this process. I believe that laughter is healing medicine and I hope together we can also have a little bit of fun along the way. In my free time I enjoy reading, exploring lesser known places, and creating a beautiful home. It is very important to me to also learn about the things that make you, you! I will work with you to integrate the people and things you love into your wellness journey. I steadfastly believe that change is possible and am so excited to come alongside you as you heal.

Melanie Auerbach has helped me through some really challenging times, and I would definitely recommend her counseling services to anyone. Melanie is such a thoughtful and caring counsellor. She has really helped me dealing with my OCD and have provided me with a lot of support through the conversations we have had as well as proving me with helpful coping mechanisms. Melanie is very non-judgmental is is really willing to help you deal with any anxieties you are having while ensuring that you stay in the right track.

Melanie is so kind and supportive. She takes the time to really listen, to understand what you're going through, and respond in a way that makes you feel heard. She also makes sure to give you a plan to help yourself as much as possible.

Melanie has been beyond delightful to work with. As someone who easily goes down tangents, I personally require structure and Melanie does an excellent job at bringing me back to the topic at hand. She is thoughtful with her words, gives useful feedback that is applicable and guides our conversations seamlessly from beginning to end. 10/10 would recommend Melanie if you are someone who benefits from tangible worksheets and strategies that are applicable to every day situations and if you are looking for someone who communicates with compassion.
