About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina with four years of clinical experience working in outpatient medical and mental health settings. I specialize in working with adults across the lifespan dealing with a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, life changes, relationship issues, grief and loss, confidence and self-esteem, trauma, and more. I have special training and expertise in working with older adults who are adjusting to retirement, chronic health conditions, grief, parenting grandchildren, family caregiving, and other issues common to this population.

I believe in the power of the human relationship as a healing force and basis for all successful therapeutic partnerships. Our work together will be rooted in my value of your inherent worth and dignity, unconditional positive regard for your personhood, and compassion for the circumstances that brought you therapy.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered and client-directed, combining aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Exposure Therapy, Supportive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. You are the expert of your own experience, you already have the tools and strength to overcome challenges and achieve your goals, I am simply here to provide structure and guidance along your path to healing.

I am proud of your decision to care for yourself by seeking out support for your mental and emotional health and look forward to the opportunity to partner with you on this journey!
