About me

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I focus my work on those that need guidance with mental health needs and substance use. My goal is to support the client in personal growth and encourage them to find strength and empowerment to be successful in their treatment. I believe in providing a safe space for the client to express any thoughts or emotions without the risk of judgment. I promote person-centered care with each client, as well as an integrative approach to counseling to meet the client where they are. My treatment areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, stress management and substance use disorder (SUD). I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends.

Melissa is thoughtful, considerate, and non judgmental. She listens and gives me opportunity to share. Her responsiveness to the app is excellent. I look forward to talking with her weekly and the dialogue through the journal and messsaging. It makes me feel so much better to have this connection to a caring God honoring person.
