About me
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana. I am also certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for kids and teens. I have been working in the social services and education fields since 2002, with the last 10 years being focused on mental health counseling and program managment. I have worked in the community mental health setting with children, teens, adults, families and couples. I have worked with a wide range of issues but particularly enjoy working with teens and women working through anxiety, depression, bipolar, DMDD, ADHD, and trauma. I enjoy working with adults who are also looking for life coaching regarding life changes and career or Christian counseling.
My approach is typically rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy and reality therapy. I strongly belief that what we think impacts how we feel and behave. After years of working with a variety of clients, I have also learned that all behavior also indicate needs. Helping clients identify their needs and goals are foundational to helping clients move towards change.
