About me

Hi! My name is Melissa, and I am a licensed clinician in Arizona and Massachusetts with 24 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, attention issues, trauma and abuse, eating disorders, coping with grief and loss, and depression. In addition, I am very knowledgeable about goal-setting and helping my clients be able to manage their symptoms through the use of coping strategies and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I believe strongly that counseling provides the empowerment, acknowledgement, and validation that is necessary to help process feelings and work through concerns. I would love to be the therapist to help you today. Please contact me if you feel my experience would be a good fit for you, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Melissa Gilgun. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

BetterHelp should send me a tee shirt!! I have told many many health care providers here on Cape Cod, MA about BetterHelp. There are limited mental health options available here on “The SandDune”. Melissa has been very helpful and she is in sync with my local therapist. I can’t thank the BetterHelp organization enough.

I have had a few sessions with Melissa and she has been amazing so far. She listens to me, is respectful, provides wonderful insight into why I am responding in certain ways, and remembers all important details about everything I have told her so far (which is a lot). She also provides concrete tools/steps/actions that I can take to improve the way that I handle certain things. I would recommend Melissa to anyone and everyone - so grateful for her!

She is wonderful! I really needed someone to help me through my separation and how to deal with the verbal and emotional abuse I have endured the last few years. She is helping me one day at a time. I appreciate her support . Such a wonderful person
